Services
Life Opportunities, Inc. seeks to fill this gap with the development of a comprehensive
transitional housing and support program. The key programmatic components of this proposed
initiative are below.
Mentoring
Each client will be partnered with a trained, skilled mentor who provides encouragement,
support, and direction as well as stability and consistency.
Client Advocacy
Each client will be supported by a caseworker who advocates for the client within
the program and society, ensuring that the necessary steps are being taken on the road to self-sufficiency.
Housing
Each client will be given safe, supportive housing that provided an opportunity to practice
independent living skills.
Education
Each elicnt will be assisted in the completion of a high school diploma or GED and in
the pursuit of a post secondary school course of study to help assure successful access to the job market.
Health Care
Each client will be provided access to a primary care physician, dentist, eye doctor,
and mental health counselor, each of whom is a member of an all-volunteer network of medical caregivers.
Employment
Each client will be provided with resources to develop job skills and to connect to
find employment opportunities.
Transition
Each client will graduate from the program equiped with the tools to be a contributing
member of society.
